World championship

H2O team is organizing the 2007 AIDA Individual World Championship in pool disciplines from 4th to 7th of July 2007.

The World Championship will run alongside with the biggest festival in Slovenia – Festival Lent, that is visited by more than half a million people every year. With the main stage of the competition in the pool complex Pristan we will be right in the heart of the festival, assuring lots of spectators and media attention. We will take all the advantage from the happening at river Drava. The social part of the competition will be carried out at Lent. Director of the festival Mr. Vladimir Rukavina is thrilled about the competition:

”In Maribor with Lent festival we become a part of the colorful world every year, hosting artists, showing our best and receiving interesting guests. From 4th to 7th of July 2007 Maribor will host special artists – world champions in apnea – in different disciplines of freediving. The organization was trusted to Maribor and we have good competitors also in our town. Organizers of Lent festival have decided to include this special event into sport Lent, making it possible to follow the competition on our screens and introducing the competitors at the Večer stage.”
